My name is Miki Johnston. My passion is working with teens, young adults, women and parents struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions and grief. By being here, you’ve already taken the first courageous step to seeking professional help. There is a time in everyone’s life when we need someone non-judgmental to challenge us to take an honest look at ourselves. Before getting to this point, most of us try to solve our problems on our own. We convince ourselves that “going to therapy” is a sign of weakness. In truth, being able to ask for help, at any age, is an indication of strength. We are all human. And even those who appear strongest have internal battles they are struggling to resolve.
Whether your struggles are situational or rooted in your past, change is possible! Using a lifetime of personal experience and more than 25 years in professional practice, I will help you explore, understand and change the behaviors and thought patterns that are getting in the way of you and or your teen’s well being.
As a therapist, it’s my goal to help instill hope and empower all my clients better navigate life’s inevitable obstacles. Through a collaborative process aimed at meeting your specific needs, I can help you learn the healthy coping tools you need to establish a greater sense of personal understanding, resilience, and fulfillment.
Call me. I am ready to listen to your story.
Best,
